Injury & Performance coaching for Jiu-Jitsu athletes
who want to train for life.

This is for grapplers
who have:

-
Settled for "playing half guard"
-
Doctors telling you to “just stop training”
-
Feared committing to scrambles or shots
-
Old injuries that never fully felt “back to normal”
-
Questioned whether their “too old” to train hard anymore

You don’t need to shut it down. You need a plan.

Dr. ZACH SCHMIDT
Rehab That Understands Grappling

I'm Zach Schmidt, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and performance coach who helps grapplers return to the mats — and stay there.

As a former wrestler and active Jiu-Jitsu athlete, I understand the demands of training and the frustration of injury. Too many grapplers are told to stop training or handed generic rehab by providers who don’t understand jiu-jitsu.
My goal is simple: to make sure an injury never marks the end of your grappling career.
My biggest win working with Zach was eliminating the pain and having the confidence to get back to BJJ. It’s such a big part of my life so super happy to be back at it.
-Pete
When I approached Zach, I was having some serious problems with my left shoulder. Working with him gave me both the perspective and the tools to approach training in a pragmatic way and extend how long I can stay on the mats. I enjoy training, and I didn’t want to lose that ability.
