REHAB THAT UNDERSTANDS GRAPPLING
Hey — I’m Zach.
Owner of Redemption Performance, and I help Jiu-Jitsu athletes return to the mats after injury—and stay there.
As a grappler who’s dealt with many injuries, I know how frustrating it is to be forced off the mats and feel like your body is holding you back. That experience is what led me to start Redemption.
Redemption was built to solve a problem I see all the time: grapplers being wildly underserved in the rehab world by therapists and trainers who have no idea what it’s like to be a grappler.
I was born in Crystal Lake, Illinois, and now call Chicago home. I grew up wrestling and playing soccer, eventually pursuing college soccer before finding my way back to grappling after a seven-year break. Today, I train and coach with a renewed respect for the sport and the demands it places on the body.
I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Carroll University in Wisconsin and am a proud Clinical Athlete® provider. My approach blends evidence-based rehab, real-world grappling experience, and performance coaching to help athletes return to training with confidence.
Outside of coaching, you’ll find me training BJJ, lifting weights, spending time at church, reading, watching anime, and suffering through weekends as a Manchester United fan.
My faith in Christ is the foundation of both my life and my work. I strive to serve others with purpose, integrity, and excellence in everything I do.
If you’re in Chicago, you’ll likely find me training at Supreme Jiu-Jitsu. Otherwise, feel free to reach out via Instagram DM or email me at zach@redemption-performance.com
Let’s get you back on the mats—and training for life.
